Green Valley Village is part of the Yucaipa Uptown Business District Specific Plan Area. A vacant retail store was demolished prior to commencement of construction of the 45 unit Senior (55+) affordable housing development. The apartments will be located in a single three-story corridor building with elevator access. Of the 45 units planned for this development, 36 will be one-bedroom units of approximately 534 square feet and 9 two-bedroom units of approximately 758 square feet. Amenities will include: elevator access, a laundry facility, perimeter fencing, 1,500 square foot community area and a computer room with high-speed internet connection. Outdoor amenities will consist of a ¼ acre community garden, trellised picnic area with barbeques and well landscaped areas. There will be 46 parking spaces for tenants and guests.

Each apartment in the development will include the following amenities: range, frost-free refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, garbage disposal, central heating and air conditioning, granite countertops, vertical blinds, carpeting, coat closet and will include CAT 5 wiring. The development will exceed Title 24 and achieve Green Point Rating.

Construction commenced in the fall of 2011 and is expected to be complete in the summer of 2012.
